About the founders
Rohan has a decade of experience in operations, marketing and founded some very successful architectural brands whose clients are most Fortune 500 companies including Google, Apple, Adobe and Shell.
Before launching Quickli, Sudhanshu, an alumnus of University of Pennsylvania, founded Fizzy Software, a software company which focuses on design, analytics and feedback to build products and solutions.
Sattviko started as a healthy food & dining chain. Now it also caters to processed food and non-food product segments. Launched in February 2014, Sattviko recently expanded its offerings to include natural and herbal yogic products. Sattviko, which has multiple dining outlets in Delhi.
Sattviko is seed-funded in a round led by online real estate portal CommonFloor co-founder Sumit Jain, Xerox India non-executive director Rajat Jain and Samsung executive Sanjay Bhasin
About the founders
This is the second startup for IIT Roorkee alumni Prasoon Gupta, 28, who co-founded the dining chain with batch mate Ankush Sharma. They had earlier started education consulting company Tech Buddy Consulting in 2009, before downing shutters to launch Sattviko in February last year.
Sattviko also uses Hyperlocal Delivery for their products to reach the end-customer.
Bite Club features a daily rotating menu of exciting meal designed and prepared by chefs who are passionate about cooking.The startup acts as a managed marketplace for food delivery. It has on board 100+ individuals, including housewives, recipe bloggers, restaurant chefs and former restaurant owners, etc who cook the food, while Bite Club gets it delivered to end customers.
Bite Club has received seed funding from Powai Lake Ventures and a few angels including Aneesh Reddy, co-founder & CEO at Capillary Technologies; Goibibo Group founder Ashish Kashyap; and Alok Mittal, who has been heading Canaan Partners India (VC firm now evaluating future investment strategy in India).
About the founders
The company was founded in November 2014 by Agarwal, Aushim Krishan and Siddharth Sharma. While Agarwal and Krishan are IIT Kharagpur alumni, Sharma completed his higher studies from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
While major startups in the hyperlocal (service and product) segment are focusing on major cities in India, Jugnoo started from Chandigarh and tested the so-called “unfavorable cities” for startups in India. Now they are starting up in Philippines
Jugnoo ties up with rickshaw drivers as logistics partners to offer three different services. This includes Jugnoo Autos on Demand, Jugnoo Meal and Jugnoo Fatafat. As of now, it claims to be present in 22 cities across the country.
The Jugnoo Fatafat app lets users request delivery of any goods they need for stores around them.
The Jugnoo Meals app (iOS) lets users order meals which it claims to deliver within 30 minutes. The food is cooked by in-house chefs at Jugnoo and offers a daily rotating menu.
Jugnoo recently acquihired two content discovery companies: Bistro Offers, a restaurant discovery app and Yelo, a mobile-only services marketplace. It also acquired Book My Cab that brings it in direct competition with Uber and Ola now.
Jugnoo has recently raised Series B from Paytm. Other investors include Snow Leopard and angel investors.
