We will also have a session by Shivani Bhardwaj, she's a graduate who works on Linux and promotes it use. She aims to help beginners dive into the world of Open Source and make more women participate in technology. he was an Outreachy intern in Round 11 for netfilter. She's also the recipient of the eminent training scholarship by The Linux Foundation for Women in Linux 2016.
She spoke about her netfilter contributions in the 12th annual netfilter workshop happened in June 2016 in Amsterdam, NL.

Getting selected

Outreachy helps people from groups underrepresented in free and open source software get involved. Currently, internships are open internationally to women (cis and trans), trans men, and genderqueer people. Additionally, they are open to residents and nationals of the United States of any gender who are Black/African American, Hispanic/Latin@, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander.
